Connor Wood announced as backup at least for now!

Just listening to Embree's post practice interview and besides talking about PRich he announced Wood earned the backup role for now because he has been a little more consistent.

Interesting. Maybe there is still hope for him mid-season or at least next giving Dillon and Webb a run for their money.
 
Doesn't sound like Wood/Hirsch are even in the same realm as Webb....Wood just barely eeking out Hirsh "for now" isn't any vote of confidence or potential that I can see
 
maybe the 3rd guy can play some receiver?? we are needing players there....seriously I agree with above post, I hope Webb comes out and lights it up and never looks back. Amazing about Schrock and Detmer....I was hoping they would be able to make more of a push also??? and Schrock now being tested for mononucleosis not sounding good for him???
 
Embree wasn't going to do it, but now that we have a KU quarterback, I think we're required to. I hope it works as well for us as it did for them!
