Doing good so far. They threw a flag on him for a PI but picked it up because the ball was uncatchable.
 
I need Julio to have a big game for my fantasy team. Screw that! GO KEVIN! SHUT HIM DOWN!

I have the same scenario and I also said screw my fantasy team. Unfortunately he got called for a PI on a 3rd down (not on Julio Jones this time).

Glad to see KC making in the league, and he looks like he belongs there.


NO though is a bad football team.
 
He did get flagged for a PI that gave Atlanta a first down when it was third and long.
That's going to happen, though. For the most part, KC played decent. He's getting time in the NFL. That's a good thing.

He's doing more than getting time. He's starting as a rookie.

He is out there due to injuries but if he keeps playing like he is he won't be doing much sitting when the injured guys come back.

KC is probably making the NFL minimum this season but if he stays healthy and keeps performing he will be in line for a nice raise in the next couple years. Guy looks like an NFL corner.
 
Seems to me that since he made number 2 on the depth chart as a rookie and is starting for the injured started he was overlooked and we should have had a player drafted last summer.

Agree, but fair to say that nobody knew he would do this well.

Looks like he is in a system at NO that suits his talents much better than what he played in Boulder. At CU he was taking the opponents top receiver and trying to cover him all over the field. As a result he ended up trying to make a lot of plays from behind the receiver.

What I have seen with NO so far is that he is playing a lot more zone or zone combination coverages. He has a man in a smaller area and is often coming up on the play instead of trying to catch up. Because he is able to get a better look at the play and the ball he seems to be playing the ball much better than he did at CU.

Since he didn't do this in college it would be hard for the scouts to know if he could do it as well as he is.

We should have had two. Spruce will have a nice career if he can stay healthy.
