CSU guard Gian Clavell arrested

Considering Eustachy's history doesn't surprise me.

First off hope the girl is okay, never an excuse for this kind of thing.

Secondly as much as we bust on them (justifiably) if this is at all true don't see this flying in Ft. Collins, kid just screwed up his career big time.

He has been willing in the past to take some kids that are both academic risk and character risk. Nothing like Florida State but he isn't new to having kids involved in potentially embarrassing stuff.

Every coach gets some of that, it's what happens when you are working with young kids away from home for the first time. He seems to have had more than a normal share both at Iowa State and at Southern Mississippi before going to Ft. Collins. He has built programs using JC kids and transfers both of whom often have more reasons for taking that route than wanting to do some travelling.

Then there is his own history. He seems to have overcome his personal demons but they are all out there for people to see. He didn't leave Iowa State on the best of conditions.

Eustachy runs a disciplined program. That's not the issue here. Issue here is one young man allegedly behaving like garbage.

And in terms of how it effects the Buffs, this is a huge non-conference game this season and Clavell is the key guy for the Rams.

CSU is going to start slow. This is potentially a big hit for them.
 
Interested to see what the factual allegations are and how the Denver media handles this.

Sounds like a Boulder overreaction.

Friend of mine connected to Ft. Collins says that it was basically a public argument between him and his gf. She tried to turn and walk away and he grabbed her arm.

Never okay to physically put hands on a woman but in the scale of things the police charges are a huge overreaction.

I'm not sure those alleged facts support a false imprisonment charge with a dv enhancement. Guess we'll see.
