Keep in mind.....OSU went backwards.... they might get one pac12 win against Cal who is the worst......OSU THREW FOR 300 yds and ran for RAN FOR 152....and lost.... if it wasn't for NalI OSU may have punted every drive

I think we need a larger sample size to compare 2017 OSU to 2016 OSU

I appreciate your enthusiasm, but you don't need to start a new thread every time you have a new thought, brother. It's not NetBuffs; if you respond to an existing thread, your post bumps that thread to the top of the "New" category.

TIA.

I trust they noticed that one particular blitz Csu kept going to. Oregon St. had zero answer for it. It's nothing that's really complex imho.

The thing people were mostly worried about CSU having a game prior to CU was the ability for them to "work out the kinks".

From what I saw yesterday, they didn't have many kinks to work out on offense, and Mac, Eliot and staff know exactly what they need to scheme for defensively.

On CSU's defensive side, they got a number of breaks by OSU missing wide open receivers, bad playcalling from OSU offense, and they just aren't very talented.

The one advantage yesterday gave them, IMO, is the confidence to believe they can beat CU. If CU can go out and score on their first few possessions, coupled with the defense getting a few stops, I think that confidence will be drained and CU will run away with it. If CU allows them to go score for score early on, it could be a close game going into the 2nd half. Either way, I see the Buffs ultimately winning by multiple scores.

Cal is going to be improved this year. Not good, by any means, but they're going to actually have a defense.

Hard to change systems so radically, though. Especially on offense, everyone was recruited for the Air Raid.

Biggest thing I saw yesterday was the wide receiver inside screen game. Have to tackle in space or those will go for big gains against us. Gamboa seems like he should sniff those out though.

CSU ran that stuff a lot because OSU just couldn't adjust to stop it. Shut it down the first couple times they try to run it and we won't see it the rest of the game.

CU should take advantage in this area, on both sides of the ball. This team is built that way.
