CU at Nebraska TONIGHT

NashBuff

CSU Knob-Slobberer
I am expecting a tough battle from those Huskers since they have played pretty good so far just like us in our final seasons in the Big Tex conference.

GO BUFFS!
BEAT NU!

dammit, I may have to run all the way back home at lunch to put in a VHS and record it!

Now this is cool if it works. I just went to DirecTV on line, from work, and set my TV to record the game. I wonder if Gate could do that?

I read the Omaha and Lincoln papers...those Huskers seem amped for tonight's game...it will be the toughest road game to date.

Tonight is really important. I'm less confident about traveling to Norman than some of you guys. They've got talent, we haven't won there in like 30 years, and it's the 2nd road trip in 5 days. That would be a great win for the program if we pull it off.

F**k it. Win both of them. Then come home and bitch slap KU around. It's how we roll.

likewise

I think the Buffs will be amped to go tonight, but I am also a little worried about a road game in Norman. I really hope we don't overlook them because they are "terrible".. That is a recipe for disaster. Anyways, pissed I'm not going to be able to watch all of the game tonight, but go Buffs!!

I'm not gonna get greedy - Just hoping for a split on the next two. kNU has some size in the middle, which could really give the Buffs some trouble, especially if they get in foul trouble like they did against OSU. (Dufault and Roberson both had 3 early in the second half) Losing both of these games would really suck, but a split keeps the Buffs tight where they need to be.

in the big picture, a split is fine. better than fine, really. i just hope the bandwagon doesn't keel into the ditch if we lose tonight. CU fans migrating to basketball generally have pretty low intestinal fortitude. it's all or nothing (and Kansas) and that's about it.

That's what I'm most afraid of. This Nebraska team is a tough nut to crack, but their year-to-year profile means that a loss to them may cripple our public perception barring big upset wins later in the season. Got to keep the easily-distracted fanbase focused and away from shiny objects.

In my mind it's almost understandable to lose to Nebraska tonight (almost), but a loss to Oklahoma would be devastating.

Unfortunately the schedule is NOT favorable for the Buffs, but is favorable for OU.

Colorado plays AT Nebraska tonight - then AT OU on Saturday.
OU plays Texas Tech at home tonight - then hosts CU on Saturday.

OU is not very good, but I don't believe CU is "good" either. They are certainly improved - but they need a great effort to win road games. I am concerned that a loss tonight puts a bit of a "downer" attitude on the team. Meanwhile, if OU beats Texas Tech tonight, they will have momentum heading into Saturday's game.

At this point, I think it is more likely that CU goes 2-0 on this road trip, rather than that they split.

Exactly.

The losses to San Fran and Harvard get in the way of my blind optimism this week. And there's the little issue about last decade of underwhelming performances in conference play that doesn't help either.

Here's to hoping CU isn't exposed as a pretenders.

Go Buffs. Stick it to aNUs.
