There may have been somewhat of an increase due to the law, but overall, it's definitely because of the Common App.
I refuse to have an opinion until dply weighs in.
Dply isn't the only one on here who works at CU.
Do the potheads realize they had just as much rights as before? You still couldn't do it on campus or if you were under 21? It's basically alcohol for them.
I guess you didn't read the thread. or the article.Do the potheads realize they had just as much rights as before? You still couldn't do it on campus or if you were under 21? It's basically alcohol for them.
Edit: Yes, I realize all students aren't 21, but the vast, vast majority of those applying aren't.

What do you call that special bond?Orr inherently distrusts anyone who has not shat in public. If you could provide a reference or two, I'm sure he'd be much more open to your point of view.

Loosened marijuana restrictions are the front porch of a university.
Just a CYA so they can say they warned you when something comes up.story from Little H's frosh orientation back in August...
student presenter is going through a slide deck, talking about dorm and university policies, mostly boring stuff. gets to the section on alcohol, spends ~30 minutes and several slides talking about the evils of alcohol: correlation to date rape, drunk driving, medical issues, emotional issues, alcholism, poor academic performance, etc... Finishes on alcohol rant .. next slide is marijuana: ~7 seconds stating "CU is a non-smoking campus -- you should know that" ... next slide and he's now talking about the dining halls or something totally different. pauses, remembers he forgot to say something, goes back in the Powerpoint deck to the weed slide and says "oh yeah, you shouldn't smoke if you've been drinking alcohol".
