Pearl Street Stampede
The Pearl Street Stampedes have become THE kickoff celebration for CU home football games for over a decade. Fridays before each home game, hundreds of Buffs fans line the Pearl Street Mall as members of the
Golden Buffalo Marching Band plays to the crowds’ delight. Members of the
CU football teamand coaching staff are greeted with cheers and high fives from fans of all ages. The Stampedes are a joint collaboration between the University of Colorado, local businesses, the City of Boulder and Downtown Boulder.
Led by Stephen Tebo’s vintage 1948 fire truck, members of the Golden Buffalo Marching Band start performing at 7 p.m. on the 1300 block of Pearl Street (in front of the County Courthouse). The Stampedes moves west, stopping on each block of the Pearl Street Mall To perform.

Ralphie's Corral Tailgate
Open to everyone, this free, family-friendly tailgating experience is the only place to see Ralphie before she leads the Buffs onto Folsom Field on gameday.
In addition to pictures with the best mascot in all of college sports, Ralphie’s Corral features:
- Performances by the CU Marching Band and Spirit Team
- Fun games for kids
- Pictures with Chip
- Premium giveaways including CU Nike Gear
- Great music
- Concession-style food and drink will be available for purchase
Ralphie’s Corral begins at Benson Field three hours before every home game, and 4 hours before kickoff in Denver for the opener vs CSU.
Buff Walk (New for 2016)
Join the CU Marching Band, Spirit Squad, Chip and other Buffs fans 2.5 hours before kickoff at the new Buff Walk as the football team makes its way from the buses on Colorado Avenue to the locker room along the east side of the stadium. Let the players know you support them and are proud to be a CU fan at the Buff Walk!
This is also the location of the Legacy Brick walkway that goes between Folsom Stadium and the Grove style donor tailgating on Franklin Field.
Here Comes Ralphie!
The University of Colorado Boulder has one of the most unique mascots in all of intercollegiate athletics, a real buffalo named Ralphie. Ralphie leads the football team out on the field both at the start of the game and the second half, creating a spectacular moment of excitement and CU pride.
