So, what super secret thing is the team gonna do? Or is this just a bunker mentality?

Hopefully this is the beginning of a new attitude and not the beginning of the end.

No huddle offense?

Player groupings?

Funk in the trunk?

We've seen it all, what's there to hide?

Triple option Statue of Liberty double reverse flea flicker screen pass hook and latter play.

Hopefully this is just a discipline thing and not the us v. them stuff that marked the start of the end with the last few staffs. Goddamn I hate our circumstances and we are eating our own at this point. I'm guilty of course. After those last two games I don't see how we are likely to have a successful season and after all the beat downs we all have a hair trigger. The staff needs to focus on a turn around not on the stuff being said here and in the media. Hopefully this lockdown helps.

Not really surprising. Not a bad sign either as they continue to change the culture and focus on improving. Remove the circus and change the attitude. Also look for them to try and ramp up the attaching D. They have been pretty vanilla on D except for the burst in the 3rd quarter last Saturday. Hope they are installing a more aggressive defensive plan for this Sat night.

My guess is Mac will be rolling out some new stuff he doesn't want ASU to see. This coupled with the fact Todd Graham has expressed concern about this game, so a scout/spy might be possible. I can't imagine he's worried cuz of talent...more that this is a game his kids could easily overlook and get snakebit on.

A fair and likely accurate observation.

Team starts well but finishes weak, even in the middle of games. I believe MM thought he could go real "vanilla" and beat these first two opponents rather handily. Circumstances showed otherwise and now its time to roll out things that were in the background and will now be brought up front sooner than what would have happened if they did win handily. A start was the DL rotation that was promised, but never shown in the Lammies game. Another thing may be re-opening competition for all positions (except WR); with no starter safe.

And there's no way that the 1st qtr. play-calling on the CSEwe 3 yd. line goes unchallenged in every practice. That series could mark a turning point of the season and I think MM realizes that now. Kind of brings to mind Union Gen. Joe Hooker's reply when asked why he failed to attack Lee at Chancellorsville, after finding himself squarely between two halves of Lee's army, which should have each been attacked and whipped in detail : "I guess I just lost confidence in Joe Hooker."

Playing not to lose snatches defeat from the jaws of victory more often than not.

Does the FB occasionally have to catch the ball in the MM offense? If so, I don't like DD's skill set at that position.
I agree. WRs need to be Spruce, Bobo and Fields. This year they will grow, next year this could be one of the top receiving corps in the PAC12.

I don't think this is a big deal. Yes, we've seen it before but we know the warning signs. If we start to get sunshine pumping then I believe we should worry. Honestly, I figured practices were already closed as of the second week of fall camp.
