Was going to say “middle” but I liked the “Central” joke.
South Park and North Park, the geology of these, is that they are rifts where the continent is being slowly, VERY slowly, pulled apart. At least I think that’s what my geology professor said.
They had theories. The smart ones even believed the earth was round.
I don't really think the metro population thing is going to help us. Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee are guaranteed two schools, and Utah might as well, despite being cousin-****er states that are a net negative to our nation's economy.
Those first three states are only guaranteed two because they are currently part of the P2, but in a world where a new entity is formed and it's invite only, I don't buy that Miss St and Vanderbilt get one. Also, Utah has basically been at its program ceiling for a the past 5-6 years and generates dog **** ratings. I don't think networks really value them. BYU is a wild card because of the Mormon/national thing, but I don't see the networks falling over themselves to bring them in either.
That's all probably true. Really I typed all that so that I could call Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Utah cousin-****er states.
This is well stated, IMO. He’s right that CFB has never been more popular and people are loving this new era where there are no truly dominant teams. It’s the perfect season for the start of the 12 team playoff.

GCU doesn't have football. The article I read said that they will compete in 17 MWC-sponsored sports, with it primarily being about MBB.

Yeah, the B12 is nothing special, but we are the NFL compared to what is left of the MWC.
Gonna throw a lot of stones here.
That conference is an overflowing dog park trash can lit on fire.
Wyoming maybe, but Air Force had plenty of options and decided to stay.
All programs who have been part of the P5 for a long time outside of 4 programs, one of which is undefeated and top 10

Air Force leadership is loyal to a fault. Probably due to their military background. I still feel sorry for them. They went from a respectable G5 conference to pure garbage.
