My body is ready
I liked the chair for HCMT, it was weird seeing the assistants there.Basically a "getting to know you" for Coach Tucker. I liked it. Still think the chair interviews are weird and off-putting, but the camp footage was very well shot. It was nice to hear how he talks to the team. Definitely inspiring.
Ya, losing Snelson was a big hit to the overall quality of the production.Solid. The stuff from CU Video in prior years has been better, overall, but it was cool to hear him talking to the team. More of that in future episodes.
Some talented video guys from that earlier team, moved on....Now breaking in some new folks at CU Video. Very decent first effortSolid. The stuff from CU Video in prior years has been better, overall, but it was cool to hear him talking to the team. More of that in future episodes.
Good perspective on it. With that said maybe HCMT gave some direction on how he wants to use it as a tool to help him.I don't want to say this was not as good as what was done in previous years. It was just different.
From a fan perspective, yes, it wasn't as cool. The videos from previous years were more geared toward being hype videos IMO. My take on this particular video is that it was intended to reach recruits (and their parents), more than anything. I liked it as a first video....and would expect to see they hype gear up as the season progresses (hopefully with some good wins).

"The Rise" was the last year Snelson was here. "The Rise" was great, because of the story of the season more than anything, but before that you had "Seasons" "Forever", etc.I couldn’t watch lawn mower cam or Coach Goober for long so I never made it all the way through the vids the past couple of years. I’ll take your word for it.
Do your job and you'll be just fine.I love hearing Tucker talk to the team.
At the same time, the look on his face when he's looking at the camera at the end of the first clip tells me that you don't want to piss him off.
I went back and watched episode 1 of The Rise just to see if I was remembering it with rose colored glasses but no, the production value was absolutely insane. And it's amazing how they called their shot that year with everything from the title to starting with MM's "gold games" talk, to Mark Johnson's "there have been years where all I have had is hope" monologue. It's like a documentary they made after the season had already happened. Just a remarkable confluence of the right season and the right people being there to capture it."The Rise" was the last year Snelson was here. Hopefully there are some cool post game lockerroom scenes with Tucker addressing the team after the lossI'm gonna love watching about 2/3 of the way through this episode.
