CU (WBB) v Iowa Game thread

Big game for both teams tonight at 8:30. Iowa is 4-0 and defeated then #14 Dayton at home last week. This will be their first away game of the season. Iowa scores a lot of points.

CU comes in having only two games under their belt. At CSU they looked a bit disjointed for about 20 minutes of the game and the other 20 minutes they looked pretty good.

So far this season Arielle Roberson has not gone on a big scoring binge. Tonight might be they night the Buffs need her to do so.

Interesting stat of the young season? CU's leading scorer is Jasmine Sborov.
 
Sborov is my girl! I love the way she plays. Scrappiest CU athlete right now, imho.

Tonight is a huge game.

How many would you say are there?

Wonder when they stop letting in students? Like if someone were to show up at halftime would they still be able to take advantage of the KU tix?
 
Hard to tell but it looks almost like a mens game in the student section. They aren't as into it but they are there. Rest of the crowd is sparse.

Defense is looking good so far except a lot of fouls.

CU up 16-8 with 13:15 to play

We've got depth. Don't worry about the refs, ladies!
 
The CU Student section is acting like they're there under protest. CU is scoring on their end, and they have very little reaction to it. This is sad.

Zoe Beard-Fails has looked good in the few minutes I have seen her play in these games. Seems like she should get a few more minutes. I'm sure they will come.

Sad. No need to take it out on the team. They are beating a darn good Iowa team right now.
 
I know womens basketball is not the same as Mens basketball but the ladies still represent the University of Colorado and are representing well right now. They deserve the support.

If the Men could shoot FT's or 3's at half the clip the ladies can we'd be as good as we think we are.

That's what I'm talking about! Got to keep up the defensive intensity and offensive efficiency. This game is so big.
 
Finally getting to sit down and watch this one. Moved a porter to the secondary, so more great beer in 2 weeks! Go Lady Buffs1
