They'll be loudly proclaiming that a 1-loss SEC team deserves to jump an undefeated team from the Pac-12 (Oregon), Big 12 (Kansas State) or Notre Dame.

Thoughts if an 11-1 Georgia meets an 11-1 Alabama in the SEC title game? Does the winner belong in the BCS Title Game over undefeated teams?

The idea that an undefeated major conference winner should sit home so that an $EC team that lost a game can play for the championship is comical...

Sorry, this is the system we live in. I don't like it, but it's what we've got. If we've got major conference teams that are undefeated, there is 0 chance Alabama makes it in.

If the question was which team is the best in the nation, I would still probably go with Alabama. But that's not the question. The question is: Given our craptastic computer system/voter system, which two teams do you think will be the top 2 if the top 4 teams win out. The answer is most certainly not Alabama.

Especially not after they snuck away with the victory against LSU.

Not as far as 1 or 2 elite teams, no, but the overall depth might be better with Bama, LSU, Florida, Georgia, A&M, and South Carolina all being legit top 15-20 teams

The depth actually sucks. The bottom of the SEC is as bad as I have ever seen it. Part of the reason why those teams you listed look so good is because of teams like: Auburn, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Kentucky.

I doubt there would be too many people calling for a one loss SEC team to be in the MNC game ahead of an undefeated UO, KSU or ND. I think it's more likely that all three of those teams will finish undefeated and then we'll have a real situation on our hands.

Imagine the situation we'd have on our hands right now if Ohio State wasn't banned from postseason this year. The SEC champ wouldn't even be in position to make a 4-team playoff.

I guess I should've clarified that I meant the depth of the upper half. There's quite a dropoff after the top half of the conference. But yes, there are some very bad teams at the bottom especially with UK, Auburn and Arkansas.

If KSU and Oregon win they will be the 2 teams in the BCS championship game, as it should be. But if 2 of the 3 undefeated's drop a game the Bama-UGA winner of the SEC CG will be the highest-ranked 1-loss team and move into the title game.

The problem will be that the SEC-folks will talk all the way through to next season about how the only reason the SEC didn't get a MNC this year is because they beat themselves up. Nobody TOOK the MNC from them, they took it from themselves. So, be prepared for that talk.

Ive heard that for years from Gator Fans regarding the SEC.

No. The SEC is not as strong this year as in the past.
You have got to be kidding? You put ND, KState, Oregon, and whoever against a top tier SEC team and they would go down. Who in the hell has ND beat this year? Bama, Georgia, LSU pay ranked teams every week in the SEC. Of all the teams I'd like to see play a 1 loss SEC team would be KState.

Who can we give the national title to now? Is it still Alabama?

Well, Bama did just go down at home to a Big 12 team that hadn't won that conference since 1998 and went 7-6 last season. Just sayin'.

The pride of the SEC just lost to the longest running joke of the big-12....I love it.

You don't know what in the hell you are talking about A&M has won a Big 12 Championship. They won't win an SEC Championship. Bama was beat up from the LSU game which they were dominated in, but LSU gave it away in the last possession.

aTm was easily the biggest running joke in the Big 12, but not necessarily for football.

Backpedaling. You do it well.
