looking through the contract, I'm not seeing anything crazy. Nike gets 16 seats and 4 parking passes to all hoops games. The hoops (mens and wonen's) and football coach can be required to attend 3 Nike events. There's also some language in there about the PA announcer citing Nike as the exclusive uniform supplier, which I don't think I've heard.

Will thumb through it some more to see if there's anything interesting

Anything regarding obligations to update uniforms for FB and BB every x amount of years?
Uniforms will be updated for 2015. Reason:

"The next opportunity for us to change our marks and the way our uniform looks is 2015, so we'll be involved in that process fairly quickly. I know in Major League Baseball they had to approve them a year in advance because when you change them it is not so easy because then it goes to licensing so all the inventory that they currently have, if a color changes a little bit or a font changes, you have to change everything out and you have so much product in the market place. It is not just here in the stadium, it is national. Usually they give you a year in advance to say, 'Okay, you are going to be having a new mark, it is going to look different.' It gives you a year to make those changes."

There's nothing in the contract that stipulates how often they have to refresh uniforms. It'll be telling if we update our uniforms in 2015, if we do it'll likely mean we'll be extending our contract which expires in 2016. If we don't see new uniforms it's likely we're testing the market for a new supplier, I don't see Nike spending the time/money to update our uni's if we're going to bolt.

We will not leave NIKE.

Converse. Chuck Taylor or jack Purcell would be a statement. Lol

Would they feel any pressure by conference affiliation? Off the top of my head I can think of several P12 schools with Nike. Would that play a role, or influence a school decision? Personally I think Nike is the top apparel company, I don't think ND does its brand any favors being with Adidas.

I don't really care except for how it would screw over Boyle and the recruiting connects he has nurtured if all of a sudden Nike-sponsored AAUs won't send players to Boulder.

I think it would influence Nike's decision. Oregon and the conference are their base and it benefits them to have every school in a conference under their emblem, playing each other every week. UCLA's their only holdout, and I think they'd see another defector as a problem long-term.

From CUBuffs.com - "Colorado has been associated with Nike in the Football program since 1988, and with all 16 programs since 1995." Women's Lacrosse will make 17. I think...

I'm sure another long-term deal with Nike will be reached and with it, as Rick George said in his interview with Adam earlier this month, that new football uniforms would appear for the 2015 season.

I've heard the same stuff as most of you guys have through the years, even these down ones, that Nike loves us, we are a test school (in 2007 we were a precursor to Oregon's look, which obviously has reached multiple new levels) http://www.cubuffs.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_LANG=C&DB_OEM_ID=600&ATCLID=920540&SPID=255&SPSID=3843 and the next contract would be our 4th long-term agreement together.

and Utah is with Under Armor

Let's see if Cinch Jeans can show us the money. Black denim football jerseys FTW. :woot:

I'm a huge fan of the gray "Buffs" jerseys that we wore against Kansas and Oregon so I start searching around online and quickly realize they are not for sale. After looking a little further I realize that not only are the new uni's not for sale anywhere online but you literally cannot find a single CU basketball jersey or shorts anywhere on the internet. Anyone know why this is or when CU authentic bball jerseys will be available for purchase again?

anyway we could get the gold basketball uni's back?

I would love that, was talking abotu it with JG. I'd love to see us go full Premiership with the Uni's 4 sets (Black, Gold, Silver, White) Black and gold could be our roads and white silver our home sets.

I was wondering the same thing. How much money is the AD losing out on? We have a new jersey, a top 15 team with tons of excitement around the program and little merch to purchase yet I walk into the local JCP in Longmont and there is the a Cody Hawkins jersey and #2 (Darrell Scott) still for sale at full price...

Interesting. I wonder why JCP's stock has dropped from $43 to $8 in two years?

From his live chat, today. Could it really be?!

I think this plays a huge role in recruiting also. High school kids are very aware of who the schools have contracts with and many are very sensitive to wearing "in" clothing.
