Man, Miles is looking really impressive at the All American Game (could be the MVP). The announcers have repeatedly stated that of all the quarterbacks there, that he is the most college ready and could play from day 1. Pretty bummed that we continually let a talent like this out of our state. Really excited that we got Shane, but Miles goes to an important school in CO (mullen), and it seems like we continually strike out with the Mullen studs (hennington is an exception). Soooo pissed that this kid is going to Washington.

Eh you can't put much stock into these games since the D is just playing man coverage and the CB doesn't have to do many reads. He'll end up being a WR at UW.

And yeah once we got Dillon our staff stopped recruiting Miles and he was never staying in state for personal reasons.

I highly doubt we just stopped recruiting. This kid is starting for the all american game and goes to the best in state football program, you dont just "stop recruiting" that kind of player. You can all say that we didn't want him, but thats some BS.

The staff stopped recruiting him once Dillon committed and then we got Wood.

A better way to say it is CU would have loved to have Miles, but got another top recruit in Dillon and a transfer in Wood; therefore, recruiting another QB became irrelevant. Good luck to Miles at Washington.

Great job Creebuzz. It's almost impossible to make a penis joke out of that statement.

A better way to say it is we never had a shot. It happens.

Wish we could have sold him on coming in as an athlete.

We did want him, just not as QB.

We have to transfer in Wood now? What the **** is wrong with these boys enrolling at CU these days??

This is just hilarious.

Good thing is that embree has been around a lot of very good college QBs than went on to the NFL the past 15-20 years while he's coached in college (CU and UCLA) so I trust his judgement of talent.

MIles was a #1 target. sure, we get Dillon and Wood....but a state kid like Miles or even Hinder is not an afterthought.

Hard to "let" a kid go out of state when he had no intention of staying in state in the first place. Not a "miss" or a "strike out" by CUs staff since, for a variety of reasons, Miles was never going to play at CU. Move on.

Same is true of Hinder. And from everything I've heard about him from people who dealt with him at Steamboat, that may not be that bad a thing...

Cyler Miles is a stud athlete, not sure anyone disagrees with that notion.

Will he be a QB at the next level? Remains to be seen. Would it have been nice to see him coming to Boulder? Absolutely. Did CU really have much of a shot? No.

It happens.

I can't believe that Mac whiffed on Tony Boselli, the kid played right in Boulder, ferchristssake.
