Some cool stuff in here, including:

Hagan was verbally committed to attend Nebraska when McCartney came to his home in Watts. Before he left, McCartney posed another, final question: What kind of neighborhood is this? It's a Crip neighborhood, Hagan said. Then you can forget Nebraska, McCartney replied.
"He said, 'If you go to Nebraska, you can't come home, because they are going to kill you,'" Hagan said. "My mom sat there and we looked at each other and said, 'He's right.' Nebraska wore red."
