He's been hired by a small Christian school in Oklahoma....for those of you who don't remember, he's the coach that killed that guy...

Also best quote ever...

Southwestern president Reggies Wenyika said, “Coach Bliss fits well within our mission and culture and embraces what a Christian-based education is all about.”

Waiting for the bodies to pile up.

Several years ago I think he was volunteering with the Lakewood HS team.

His son played at Green Mountain while I was there, always was around basketball practices, god knows why you'd want that scum bag around high schoolers.

His new book, "Fall to Grace" (whatever the eff that means), needs to be on Burrito's reading list.

Couldn't load the article. He didn't kill anyone just tried to help his player, who did kill a guy, cover it up.

And then tried to cover himself and his own NCAA violations by slandering the dead player. This guy is a serious sleaze ball and has no business ever being in the field of coaching again. After being effectively banned by the NCAA for countless infractions going back to his time at SMU in the 1980s, he brought his same slimy act to high school, forging a school leader's signature, illegally recruiting players and continuing his shady tuition deals. This college should receive heat for hiring the guy, hopefully ensuring that he never sees the hardwood again.

If you click 'sports' at the top of that partial page, the story comes up

Perfect example of why coachs should be licensed. No license, no jobs or volunteer positions....that simple.

Well, hopefully his change is sincere. We can all change but, of course, we can't change what we've done. We can only seek forgiveness.

Well I hope he has changed as well. However, thinking about it from the coaching side, to my way of thinking he has crossed a line that should prevent his return. He can work on himself, and he can solicit forgiveness. But at the end of the day the profession should maintain standards for the sake of credibility, if not decency.
