I'm not sure what's worse - insufferable, snobbish Mullen fans or insufferable, snobbish Creek fans.

The funny thing is that Creek teams (when I was there, anyway) thrived on knowing everyone hated us. It made us better.
 
And for all the Creek hate, I can say without a doubt that all the guys I played sports with at Creek were the same ones I played sports with growing up. There was no recruiting back then. We just kicked your ass with our guys.

Schools like Mullen and Valor cannot say the same.

That used to be the case, but other schools are getting close these days. Grandview has roughly 3000 kids. Cherokee Trail is close to 2500 last I heard and still growing. Eaglecrest is 2500. Smoky Hill is 2600.

According to CHSAA's 2011 media guide Creek has 3,501, Grandview is second at 2,607. The difference could field a mid-size 3A program...

And Creek sucks at most things other then Tennis, so proving everyone's point that you guys were good back in the day because you had double and triple the population of everyone that you played. Good call.
 
Buncha crybabies around here. Creek plays by the same rules as every other public school in the state. Not my fault your schools can't compete.

Uh, the 27 kids from Lakewood competed pretty well in 1985 against the mighty Creek.

I don't have a horse in this race, but this rings a little hollow when Creek still has as many students as the 2nd and 5th biggest HS in Colorado combined (this was the last i saw, so it may be a little out of date. I was true at least as recently as 2010).

So should they kick 800 kids out? Quit fielding teams? What's the solution, other than for everyone to bitch and moan about them?

Not true anymore, based on the numbers I posted above. The difference between Creek & #2 is down to a mid-size 3A program now (although that's actually not too far off from Mullen's enrollment). It is about the same size as Douglas County and Regis combined, though.

All those other whiners in 5A should just go out and add another 1,500-2,000 kids to their student body. :lol:

There are no solutions, that's why we're whining about it. It's an unfair situation, but as you point out, that's just the way things are. The least you could do is acknowledge that it's an unfair situation without trying to point out that you're in the same boat as everybody else.
 
I'm shocked this guy isn't getting snapped up by a college program or a NFL team since I'm told by the Denver media how much of a genius this guy is.
