Declaring for the draft/hiring an agent question

Hey guys,

Do any of you know if the NBA draft is similar to baseball? If a player declares for the draft, does NOT hire and agent and gets drafted at say #16, can he still turn it down and go back to school? Hypothetically of course.....

No, he would have until May 8th to pull his name out to remain eligible. If he remains in the NBA draft he is deemed ineligible.

No. In the NBA, there's a withdraw date (May 8th). If you declare and don't withdraw by that date then you can't return to school.
