1. Until proven otherwise, I will assume Hawaii is this year's 2001 Fresno State
1.a. I will assume Wittek is this year's David Carr

2. Our loss was embarrassing, but was it equal, more, or less, than Stanford (challenge for the north), Arizona State (picked my many to win the south), Texas, WSU, or Kansas?

3. Some of our future opponents put up a gross number of points - specifically CSU. Can we keep up?

4. Sometimes SEC teams kick off at 11:00 pm eastern. That excuse sucks.

* I spent all day Saturday coaching and going to my daughter'so cheer. Ergo, I saw 0.00 college football.

Don't think too much. In my heart, I sure hope you are right. Specifically #1 on the list :D.

We'll beat UMASS by 14. Then we're going to get mud holed by CSU. I love my Buffs, but the season will be done, done, done after that one.

Re point 2: far more embarrassing than ASU (Aggy looks legit)
more embarrassing than Stanford (NW probably decent)
Texas - about equal (while ND might be good, that was an ass-kicking)
definitely less embarrassing than KU or WSU; not much consolation though
At least nobody saw us embarrass ourselves, though.

Penn State giving up 27 unanswered points, with a former Heisman hopeful at QB in losing to Temple for the first time since the 1940's was a pretty terrible loss for James Franklin.

Why are we going to get mudholed? And please don't use their game yesterday as your evidence.

Saw a stat go by on the ESPiN ticker last night saying that Portland State had a predicted chance of winning of only 2.4%, but that it was only the THIRD most statistically surprising win by the predicted underdog. How much ya wanna bet #2 is CU losing to Montana State, and #1 was CU losing to Sacramento State.

CU barely beat UMass in the last seconds of the games last year. On a neutral field. Attendance included more CU fans than UMass fans. Given the attitude of the coach, hedging the refs culpability in the UH loss, this game could be setting up for a UMass upset.

How dense are you to actually believe the team/coaches are blaming the refs?

MacIntyre has a reputation with the Pac-12 officials of blaming them instead of himself. He won't get favorable calls from them. We got to see the real Coach MacIntyre, the coach that the refs see, after the Oregon State game last season. He had a chance to shut down any talk of the refs bobble against UH by stating the obvious and taking the blame for the two dozen game changing errors but instead told the media not to ask him about it so that he would not get in trouble.

MacIntyre went after the officials for a BS call against OSU last year. That's the only time he has gone after them.

Someone had an agenda. Just stop.

Na. I bet Appalachian State over Michigan was a bigger upset. There's been some other big ones over the years. We were a known crappy team in most people's eyes around the country when we lost to Sacramento State.

I want MacIntyre replaced. He is the third failed hire in a row for CU. I knew it after last season's results and the recruiting over his entire tenure. I have no pull, no say in the coaching hire/fire decisions. I am just a guy that saw MacIntyre for who he was a bit earlier than a lot of other people. The fans are waking up after the Hawaii game.

No, you have an agenda. No one, other than you apparently, is dumb enough to believe he is blaming the refs.

Of course there's no certainty, and Sefo is capable of turning an easy win into a heartbreaking loss, but I will be surprised if the Buffs don't beat UMass by 3 TDS. You can't pretend a game in Massachusetts resembles the environment at Coors field, even if there were a majority of Buff fans there (which sounds unlikely but have no idea in fact).

We're playing at Coors field?

Mac's a joke. Through 2 seasons, Embree had 3 times as many conference wins. Don't get me wrong, Embree deserved to be fired. If we don't beat UMass by 3 touchdowns and also beat CSU, then Mac should be fired before conference play even begins.

Because we suck is the simple answer. Are you saying we don't suck? For weeks you have been telling everyone how crappy Hawaii was. Well if they are so crappy what does that say about CU?

We have less talent than CSU and our coaches are unable to come up with any type of scheme to give us any edge. Sefo is 100% going to choke at a critical point of the game and you can count of our special teams to cost us between 3 and 7 points. I'm sure you have a spreadsheet or graph that supports this view.

Why don't we see how we bounce back next week? We SUCKED on Thursday, but despite that, we lost by 8. We didn't lose that game because of what Hawaii did, but because what we did to ourselves. The penalties and turnovers weren't really because of what Hawaii did/was doing. For example, Irwin totally wiffed on his assignment on that punt block...and that was the position Frazier plays on punt team.

CSU played an awful team and you can't take away anything from that game one way or the other.

That was the hymnal that so many people were singing out of last year with the promise that this season would be different. This year is the same except that there are a lot less people in the pews after the Hawaii game.

The season is over already?

Damn.

I seriously ask: why should any give a flying **** we lost by eight points? Just stop. You are already talking like we didn't actually lose. WTF?
