Jeremy Adams on twitter is suggesting that Dinwiddie now be nicknamed "The General" instead of "The Mayor".

Thoughts?
 
I am so attached to the mayor already. Let's see:

ze general of ze colorado buffalooooes
ze mayor of ze colorado buffalooooes
 
If he leads us to another Pac-12 title, he can be the General.
 
It doesn't make sense to go from Mayor to General. I think it needs to stay with the political positions.
 
Did not think this would be a contest. I get the floor general thing, but the Mayor has a larger meaning.
 
Goose and I thought The Prez (for President) sounded good when we realized how much he has grown since March at the practice we went to.
 
I thought somebody was going to explain where the "mayor" nickname came from in the 1st place. anybody know?

Here. I want to say it was 'Nik who pointed out that the kid knows EVERYONE from his AAU days. So he was "The Mayor" because he had a rolodex of people he could call on.

Pac 12 Champ: Governor
Sweet 16 or further: Senator
National Champ: Prez
 
It is bad mojo to mess with the nickname gods. When you have one that works, you stick with it.
 
Fwiw, it looks like The Mayor has agreed with his nickname.
