Sounds like Big Al has been hitting the sauce a little early today. He doesn't do himself any favors by coming across as a guy who doesn't pay attention to the very thing he's supposed to be an expert on.
OTOH, that never hurt Jim Rome. So maybe it's not such a bad deal.

It's one of those "never meet your heroes type of things." Actually I've met Big Al many times and he is such a great guy. I don't like him on the radio but I'd rather have him than another Northeastern transplant.
Are we upset about this mistake?

I won't listen to those two. Too bronco-centric for me. He should know better than to get his facts on CU that badly wrong, but I think those guys are all a little butthurt at CU (I include CJ and Klatt---look at his comments in the first of the Rick George start series) for firing Water Bottle.....which amazes me with especially Klatt (who did two of our games last year)...The only tolerable sports radio IMHO is Sandy Clough and the fans new morning show.......Lombardi is hilarious.
CJ and Kreckmen was good. I liked that show.
Ofcourse ESPN Radio in Denver is idiots, so they droped that and put CJ with Les Shapiro (who is a moron), and put Kreckmen with Gary Miller (hes OK) and Tom Nalen, who says some of the dumbest **** I have ever heard.
I wish they would bring back Vic and Gary, and put CJ and Kreckmen back together.

Vic is good, but Evans is so bad I can't listen.
Les is nothing short of awful and insanely arrogant.
Miller is not good without Vic and drags down Kreckman.
Al is so checked out in regards to CU/living in the past as a former Bronco/in all cases a players advocate, that he is difficult to listen to.
I never thought I would write this, but Sandy Clough is somehow the best we have in Denver. I also think Goodman and Hastings are OK because they routinely have good guests.
He is a good guy, just full of ****

I have been on the beat for quite a while now and have never seen Alfred Williams at a CU practice.

I just can't listen to Al and that DMac guy anymore. Al is a great guy. He at least says that CU is his greatest love, and I believe him. So, apparently he, like Klatt, must be out to prove he isn't a homer because all their show is is Bronco talk. Every day. In season, off season, whenever. One thing nice about having four sports shows to listen to on the way home is that I can usually avoid Bronco talk.

^^This. Best radio show in town IMO.
Buffs will be a more prominent topic on the show once they earn it...until then, I'm certainly not going to judge a radio show for not constantly talking about how Shi++y they are or the latest bad news story out of CU. Al gets off topic and frequently mixes up his facts, but that's Al being Al and part of what makes that show entertaining. Al is a true Buff and the last 7 years have been forgettable, can't blame him for not having his facts straight on a team that few can bear to watch.
Like I said, I love the guy. Just don't like his radio show when all they discuss are the Broncos. If I flip over and they are talking CU football, I'm all in. Thats what I do. Any show that is talking Broncos, I go look somewhere else. And I love the Broncos. Just sick of how they dominate the scene here.
On the other side of this coin, at least they know Broncos football. Vic Lombardi and Sandy Clough are the only guys in town who can talk basketball. And Sandy can be hard to listen to on Nuggets talk since George Karl is like his best friend. Big Al and Dmac are just atrocious talking any basketball, NBA, College, anything. They are completely clueless and I can't listen to more than 20 seconds.
just wish alfred would connect more with his #1 love is all.
