Does Connor Wood play the rest of the season?

Ok those are obvious. Let's say Sefo struggles and we're within a TD in the 3rd

If Sefo just gets overwhelmed which is very possible for a true fr. QB.

I think that M2 is smart enough to understand that now that the RS is off that Sefo needs as much experience as he can get out of it. At the same time if he is getting swamped and is in a situation that could hurt his development I would hope that M2 would be willing to pull him to the sidelines and let him get his bearings back.

I think Connor is done. I just don't think you can fix the mental issues he appears to have. If we must pull Sefo for some reason, then go to Webb, Dorman, Gherke, in that order (flip flop Webb/Dorman if you want).

I think Sefo plays the rest of the season out. I still think this was a really poor decision to burn his RS. Now if he leads us to win over Utah I will change my mind but to have him lead the team to a win over a FCS school doesn't do much for me.

Hopefully not. If he's playing bad enough that they feel they need to go back to Connor, then we're absolutely screwed. No more wins this season for sure, with the added bonus of big question marks at QB going into next season.

I see no reason for Sefo to stand aside... he is invincible. No injury will stop Sefo!

MM said himself that Connor will see time again at some point in the future. "It always seems to work out that way".

Didn't he also say last week that Sefo was going to redshirt?

That was a charade. He didn't go into ASU without a thought of playing Sefo, he admitted that as well. It was being planned for all week that if Connor went out and turned into a turtle, it was Sefo time.

I think Wood is probably done....it will be Webb if we need another QB. I, for one, hope we do not need another QB.

I think he could. It is likely that Sefo will struggle, I expect most teams are going to blitz the heck out of him. If that happens then he will have to sit in order to collect himself. And Connor can come in and we can see if he has grown from his benching.

I think it is Sefo most of the way but we will see 2 qbs at times. I think MM has to let Sefo get as many reps as he can now. No turning back and wasting burning his red shirt.

I hope not. Once you burn the shirt, its gone.

Wood could transfer to a lower division school (FCS or below) without having to sit out.

I don't think it's going to happen. I think he sees himself as a major college QB and will be enough of a competitor to want to stick around and be that major college QB. He has to know that he has had his best shot and that unless Sefo flops it will be unlikely that he will ever be the odds on favorite to start.

At the same time He is physically gifted as a QB, his failings have been on the mental side of the game. He probably has an idea in the back of his head that given some time he can get that part down and that M2 will be fair if he shows himself to be the better man in the future. He also knows that he is likely to be competing for the back up job for the rest of his career unless Sefo gets hurt but at CU instead of playing at a smaller school.
