Does tucker to MSU push any change in Pac12 leadership

It's well documented that the Pac12 is either struggling financially and competitively either literally or in the perception many hold.
Jon Wilner, the west coast scribe, often documents much of it well and in detail.
I keep wondering what the conference ADs and Presidents are saying/doing/planning for the conference in leadership and direction.

Does this whole episode of tucker to MSU and the cash/resource grab prompt Rick George and others with a say in Pac12 direction to push for more immediate change.
Rick George has seemed a good leader who assesses a situation, devises a plan of action and then acts on the plan. Will that be the case in his involvement in the Pac12.
(Of course he has a local task keeping him quite busy at the moment.)

The only thing it might change is the execution of a strategy for CU to leave the P12 and join a conference with real resources.

I've been all in on being in the B1G for a long time. The first question though is what other school would be invited along with CU? Just making the presumption that they want to have an even number of member schools. Louisville? Cincy? Pittsburgh? Just free associating here...

You would want someone from either the Midwest or near Colorado. If they were looking for a school to bolster baksetball Kansas could be a choice. Iowa State since they have a solid academic track record with Ames Laboratory. All three you mentioned could be possibilities also.

Add CU and KU, done. The KjSU politics might be tough for KU, but I'm sure well placed campaign donations could solve any issues.

Did I read correctly that Larry Scott is the highest paid conference commissioner? That he has a job is proof P12 presidents DGAF. That he could potentially be the highest paid fckup is even more egregious.
and pay the highest rent/ lease for their headquarters

Idots

KU is an AAU accredited institution.
Yep - I'd happily join them in the B1G.

Lots of rumors about KjSU folks causing state political problems if KU tries to abandon them though. Some well placed donations solves all that I think.

I think the bigger impact on the P12 board is UCLA being so much in debt.

Presidents who have been firmly behind Limo Larry are OSU’s Ray & ASU’s Crow. UCLA’s prez Block hasn’t been as blindly loyal, but has been the next most in Scott’s corner.

They don't add, they drop non-AAU kNU.

They'd drop Rutgers and kick whichever Indiana school is in the west to the other division. NU may be an advocate for us-that would give them an actual rival (not the made up ones Surveyor thinks they have now).

No, the pac 12 is exactly what they want it to be. Less emphasis on big sports, more on academics and Olympic sports. They want an Ivy League take on sports. We will be there soon.

Utah.

CU just got fleeced by Michigan State, but as most have stated, this could have happened to most of the PAC12 schools.
UCLA, Arizona and Cal are hemorrhaging cash in the AD.
WSU's AD finances look like CSU's.
Stanford and USC can pay whatever they decide they want to.

Larry Limo has been awful, and the league offices should never have been setup in the most expensive place they could find (downtown San Fran).
Moving that to Vegas or SLC or somewhere makes a lot of sense.

But league problems and disparities goes way beyond Larry Limo. Fan bases aren't nearly as engaged as those in the Southeast or Midwest.

Look no further than our home games and how teams like KSU, Nubs, OKie State, etc would travel here. Nobody in the PAC travels like that.

You’re deflecting, this whole mess is your fault and you know it.

The PAC is always going to be a notch below the SEC and B1G. The question is how many of its issues are down to mismanagement by leadership. Can they navigate a new television deal and actually get it easily available to people. Can they figure out how to increase revenue for member schools? And so on. Rick Geroge might do a better job than Larry Scott but people have no clue what the floor nor ceiling are for the PAC.

Given the TV markets there is zero reason this narrative has to be true. The ceiling is significantly higher than the SEC ceiling. Yes, things have been managed tha poorly.
