Reading these accounts, it looks like it's going to get really bad in Minnesota. Like, program crushing bad. It got me to thinking, had we all known it would take ten years to get this turned around. Would we have kept our season tickets all those years?

If you had told me I'm 2006 that we would go to one bowl game and wouldn't have a single winning season until 2016, I might have taken a few years off. It's looking like they could be in for something similar in Minnesota. Makes me wonder if fans there might just decide they have better things to spend their money on.

I think their fans did that years ago. Minny already has one of the smallest stadiums in the original Big 10 and didn't sell out a home game this year.

I think you are right. Minnesota isn't quite comparable to CU for a number of reasons. They don't have the history of success that CU has had, at least not while any of their fans were alive. They play in the same city as the Vikings while the Buffs play far enough away to be a different place.

Minnesota fans don't have the expectations. CU has sucked but we always expected them to come back, we just didn't think it would take nearly this long to do it.
