That was a great speech. Hearing him talk about his mom was heartening. From what I had read he had a rough time, but the line about him thinking they had "totally made it" when they got an apartment - that really crystalized to me how rough he really had it.

Good for him for working his ass off. I still remember seeing him come with texas and looking like a pencil with a pair of shorts. He was great then but he's come a long way. Congrats kevin

(and as for dre, this is why he went pro - you dont get shoutouts from the MVP when you're in college)
