My first reaction when I saw this pick come up was "What the ****???" But...as I calmed down in the moments that followed, I realized a few things...

1. Akers is past his prime and its time to get a fresh leg in there
2. Even though he is a Fusker and a Buff-killer (seeing his highlight reel which had the 57 yarder in there was painful), he's a damn good kicker and a great choice to replace Akers...
3. The NFL is separate from college football, so its a good idea to put college biases on the backburner in the pros (in our case, see "Bradley, Stewart" for another example of this)...he's no longer a Fusker, but an Eagle now...

E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!

I feel the same way.... but that was my parting shot to the Nebrassholes.....

Akers was great.... but he is on the down...

Agreed..unless you are from there, there is no redeeming value...same with Buffalo, Cleveland, New Orleans, etc.

But I actually like the NU kicker/punter....

fantastic analysis.... one that all travel companies should cite as a reasoned, well-thought out description for Philadelphia, Buffalo, Cleveland, New Orleans AND etc.....:moon:

Ha...ok, put Dallas on the list as well. Does that round out the analysis for you?

Being from Philadelphia, I do not know of a city named Dallas.... I know a F*$! Dallas growing up at Veterans Stadium.... but I do not know of this place you call Dallas

check the video of the last second field goal by the Nebraska kicker in 1991 at Folsom.....
