Early 2013 top 25 from Dennis Dodds

Aggy is going to play Bama in week 3. Teams will prepare for Manziel and he's losing his bookend LT and RT. They have film on him now. He'll do well in the SEC, but he won't repeat as a Heisman winner.

But given that you only need to score 10 points on offense to win games in the SEC they'll win a lot more than they lose.

Aggie will find a way to be aggie.

A&M #1 is a big mistake 3rd-5th would be more spot on. Very, very intrigued by Clemson next year. If there was ever an ACC team to shock you...this is the one, but brutal OOC schedule with UGA (and of course South Carolina). Not buying Oregon State at 14th, either. Don't doubt they can have another solid season, but I'm a bit skeptical of placing them that high.

I'm voting for UW as the surprise PAC12 team next year. They've been stockpiling some solid talent and return a lot of key players. Plus Wilcox didn't ditch for a HC job. I don't think they overtake Oregon or Stanford in the North, but I think they end up clearly the 3rd best team in the P12.

Also going with Ohio State as an unbeaten that ends up in the title game. The B10 is bad and Braxton Miller will only be that much better next year.

The thing about UW is they might be a "surprise" and still end up 4th in the North Division

I think they'll mow over OSU, Cal, and Wazzu. But yeah, overtaking Oregon or Stanford will be tough. They did beat Furd this year, though. I guess it's possible they finish 2nd. I just think they'll be a really good team that isn't ranked as high as they should be. Their game against Boise will be interesting to see where they're at.

Actually, only Joekel is leaving. Matthews is coming back and moving to Left Tackle so he can play with his little brother who will most likely challenge for starting center next year. Don't sleep on Manziel, the guy is a game changer. I am a believer but, you are right, week 3 should prove it one way or another. I like the Aggies.

Three Pac-12 teams.... ouch

In the Top 15? What's wrong with that? The Big 12 got a bunch of throwaways in 16-25, including K-St, a defenseless OU and TCU, none of whom stand out or much above U$C, UCLA or UW, in terms of talent.

I think a&m will be a dominate force for a while and eventually (soon) will be a top team in the sec. growing up in Texas it was ut 1st then a&m. Now that they are playing with the "big boy" conference, all those top in state recruits are going to bypass ut for aggie land. BTW college station is a pretty cool college environment. Not Austin, but still pretty cool...

It goes in cycles. Mid 80s to mid/late 90s it was all A&M. Then UT went on an extended roll. Now everything is pointing up for A&M. Inteesting to see if A&M can follow through and bring home some hardware. I don't like A&M, but I really like how they play football under the new coach and with their exciting QB. I give them a lot of credit. They are fun to watch...a refreshing oasis .in the SEC wasteland of boring football. Florida used to be fun with Spurrier and Meyer. Now Muschamp has sucked the life out of their offense.

They need to figure out if Keith Price is really ready for primetime. He seemed to regress a bit this year for some reason. Maybe they missed Nussmeyer, maybe Price's knee is shot, but they have to find some solid QB play to go with the talent they're accumulating at the skills positions. If they could just get the ball to Austin Sefarian-Jenkins every other play they'd be fine.

I'd like to see division one football cut from 120 teams (or whatever the exact number is) to around 50 to 60. I'd also like to see a rule where OOC games for division 1 schools must be against other division 1 schools. This would create a better experience for the fans who are funding the programs. I'd like to see more competition and fewer schools with zero or one loss at the end of the season.

I'd like to see Kate Upton topless making me breakfast.

Neither is going to happen.

Exactly. Price is the key to maybe the entire PAC-12 North race. If he plays closer to the 2011 version, they are a legit threat to take down Oregon or Stanford.

Stanford might just be the clear front runner with Chip gone - They've been unstoppable with Hogan. Need to see how much they lost in the front 7 to be sure tho.

Pretty sure almost the entire defense is returning. I also think Stanford feels really good about Hogan and their OL going forward. I think the question marks are at the offensive skill positions with losing Ertz, Taylor, and Toilolo.

hmm. Don't they have Barry Sanders Jr? I heard he was doing some things in practice. Sounds like we might get a repeat of Luck's Senior season post all their WR injuries. A true difference maker in space on the outside has really been something they've lacked for their entire run.
