Early wish list…

Is it too early to post a wish list with all the buzz around the Buffs? I’m trying not to be too greedy:

1. Obviously, it all starts with QB Julian Lewis.
2. To solidify our LB corps next year Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng.
3. Carde Smith to add to our OT group.
4. A big, huge DT
5. Safety Byron Baldwin flips (finally).
6. We flip a Buckeye and add DE London Merritt.
7. Another CB
8. Elijah Melendez to add to the ILB’s.
9. A dog on the interior OL.
10. One more nice WR to throw to.

Fill in some holes on the transfer portal and the Buffs hopefully don’t miss a beat next year.

We need TE talent and depth. DeSouza is a very good start, but also need transfers with 2 or 3 years of eligibility. Maybe look at JUCO?

#1 is KEEP every single critical player we already have, starting with Seaton and going down from there at least 40+ valuable guys

We definitely have some guys who could opt for the draft but would not be picked in a spot that paid more than their current value as a college player (McNeill, McKinney, etc.) Keeping them will require some re$ource allocation.

Also, you can count on every guy that has flashed as being in danger of being poached.

There will certainly be unexpected attrition. Regardless, there's no coach in the nation I would rather have navigating us through the portal window.

Next year's offense is gonna look so different, and who we get at QB is gonna shape everything else. If it's Juju I'd hope we get more TE and RBs. I don't think we'll be paying for another year of the OSU transfer. Micah has promise. August is solid. But once we don't have the best QB in college ball we are going to need an actual run game

It's okay my man. Things will get better. If you need someone to talk to, I'm not that guy. But you should talk with someone.

Adding another big splash player from high school in addition to the normal late Deion flip. I.e a Jordan Seaton and another player of his statue. Getting that kicker commited to Baylor so I can stop sweating so much when the kicking unit is on the field. A tight end who is a reciever threat to make 11 personnel more dynamic and ease in the new QB.

Unless we secretly have elite DB's on the bench. I think we need 2 more DB's in this class or from the Portal. We are losing Hunter and Hodge??? I believe. I thought Mckinney would be a definite stay, but I think he might be a 3rd/4th round pick now based on his tape. I don't know how his combine numbers would look. Losing DB1,DB2,DB3 would hurt a ton. I like Hood but he needs some help.

In a normal world, you would get 4-5 DB’s every year.
