We really could use Dotson's 6 career carries for 12 yards right now.
More about an empty class at RB than Dotson himself.

Not only that... but we didn't replace them with a single player. Fail.
RB isn't bare Serenity? We've been playing 2 RB'S for 2 games. Not good
We didn't replace him eitherChance Waz is starting for Baylor now.

Hockaday was a nobody recruit to you guys.
Got to go with FLounder. I think you are overblowing the point. Hockaday would not have seen the field and I think the staff thinks Watanbe needs another year of healing to get where he has to but he should be better than Gamboa or Severson. Dotson doesn't appear to be as good as Carr as a 2nd year guy. Dino Gordon could be used but the staff would rather not have to burn his RS (smart and something Embree/Hawkins failed at/had to do due to talent).I think, as usual, you miss the point.
He's played in two games so far for Vandy, let's not get carried away. Unless you count one tackle against Austin Peay as a significant contribution, I suppose.Hockaday is playing for Vandy already
Austin Peay? Is that Waldo's soda franchise down on 6th Street? He's played in two games so far for Vandy, let's not get carried away. Unless you count one tackle against Austin Peay as a significant contribution, I suppose.
self inflicted because HCMM didn't assemble a P12 level recruiting staff, to be clear. The point of this thread is that most of our depth issues are self-inflicted.
I'm unfamiliar with recruiting history of Rodriguez and Dotson, but is it really self-inflicted, when a recruit de-commits because his dream school offered in the 11th hour, or is that an unfortunate situation for a downtrodden program? The point of this thread is that most of our depth issues are self-inflicted.

I was talking about Hockaday and Vandy, but it sounds like Rodriguez had a similar situation.Yeah it is hard to blame the coaches for the Rodriguez situation. Kept him despite the LSU and FSU offers but there was only one program he would decommit for.
