Embrassing article in the WSJ. Please make this stop...

On the bright side, we're not even one of the top 10 biggest underdogs in intra-conference games since 1980.

just roll with it? I guess? Really don't know what else to think or do...Is what it is

What did we expect? I guess we're still newsworthy.

Anyway, I found the fact that the dog in 7 of the top 10 bcs (even though she's talking about the Big 8) were Kansas and Kansas State. Ouch.

Maybe we should get off of our apathetic asses and forward in mass. All articles like this.

I just don't know what else to do.

me either. I am ready to spend $$$. But not for this....I love the Buffs as much as anyone here. Like I have said, this is a death spiral. I think we are done.

How the hell do we find email addresses? I googled email address president bruce benson and i'm coming up empty. Ok, I only read two articles.

Maybe, instead of a "Black Out" for a game, we could do a "zombie walk." All the fans dress as zombies and slow walk to our seats, sit down, and moan.

I'm drunk mutha****as!

Rachel Bachman is a lazy writer who is just an attention grabber. Maybe that's the future of 'print' media. She basically let one of Cal's football hating professors ghost write the WSJ story without fact checking.

So Cal takes out $300 million in bonds for the new stadium, but only has some fraction of that in hand when the project starts. Must be something really wrong that after a year there's only $40 million in hand. Oh wait, maybe she should be thinking whether Cal would need that big of a bond if they had more money in hand to start with. Sure it's more complicated than just that, because there is the goal of a continuing endowment from seat sales that does favor money up front, but the freaking WSJ is a business newspaper, so the financing plan might be something interesting to look at for real....

All this is an aside to the this thread, but the Cal stadium financing model is something CU should look at IMO. The problems/risks Cal will have are due to the large scope of the project, not the financing model. Smaller project means more manageable payments... and of course Folsom isn't build on a fault, which accounts for 1/2 of the stadium expenditures to shore up the building.

On the good-news front... if UO beats the spread this weekend, then writing about future Embree & CU debacles will become less and less newsworthy. No one will deem is 'interesting' to pile on. Embree's taking us to the next level-!

On the bad-news front... 'handsome woman' - uh. Yes. I've seen bridles and bits on noses like that. Those were handsome. Or rather 4-hand.

I'm pretty sure we already do this every game.

Instead of a black out I think we should do a fan out. All of the fans stay at tailgates for the duration of the game in protest.
