The way I did handle the seniors, especially, when I look back on it, I probably could have done more with them in the summer. It probably would have went over better with them at times during the season. I know some of them were taken aback by me and I accept full responsibility. I will never, and never have and never will make up an excuse. If we got 11 guys out there wearing our uniform and those are the guys we have, we need to do the best we can. That's all I am trying to get them to understand. You have to win in spite of. We got dealt a crazy hand. No bye, all those injuries but guess what? The other team showed up. The ball was kicked off. So you gotta go play. You can't worry about all those things you can't control. I think that kind of mindset was different for them. I think some of them thought that as long as you go out and compete, and try your best, oh well (if you lose). That's not the case. At the end of the day you still want to win. It's still gotta be your objective.
