There is nobody on this team you got to have. (in reference to playing practice and games throughout the season with the possibility of injuries)

In reference to corners or (lack there of):
Maybe we will sneak 12 players on the field

"there is nobody on this team you got to have" ?

come on man. i'm all for being a badass, but at some point these kids are going to say "**** you coach."

Part of the point he's been making is that based on the last couple seasons he knows he can lose with these players. It's up to them to individually demonstrate they are players he can win with.

Our depth is pretty bad we better hope we stay healthy. Specifically at QB and RB. Ruh roh

Watch CB be our strongest position this year. Watch Embree be just talkin **** in the media to make them all mad and they come out against Hawaii and put on a show...

Exactly, that is basically what he is doing. Nothing wrong with challenging the young men to step the hell up. Thats what it's gonna take.

Embree and Bienemy have walked the walk at Colorado. They have earned the right to talk the talk.

Not that I doubt Embree's approach, but I remember how excited I was after Hawk's famous "Go play intramurals" rant. I was glad our coach wasn't going to accept softness from this team and we all know how that turned out.

Until the first game, it's easy to sound like a genius. Was it Mike Tyson who said "Everybody has a plan until you get punched in the face"? I want to see how this team responds to getting punched in the face, until then I'm less interested in the sound bites - I've been burned before.

Except that we're talking about known entities here. Most of these guys have played and/or coached at CU before. Does anyone really think an Embree team or Bieniemy offense is going to play soft?

I am so excited that we don't, but we gotta remember Hawkins yanking Charles for running out of bounds on some plays. So they may start being tougher (and they are already 100 times tougher than Hawkins), but game situations change things.
