ESPN 30 for 30 "The Gospel according to Mac" Tonight at 7pm MT

thanks for the reminder. I need to figure out my DISH online account so I can record from my phone.

some will be critical, but they always were and will be. It is accurate. I watched it online and can't wait to watch it with my family on a bigger screen.

Nice to see a former players comments on it. Can't wait.

After reading some things about it and having been a season ticket holder back in those days, I am looking forward to seeing it.

Good to see a lot of the old guys on the film.

What is Kanavis doing now? He was a part of that disaster that was the Embree staff but I thought he had a future as a college assistant.

This is very well done, seeing old film and players, the sal piece still tore me up. Some negative stuff but much better so far than i thought.

Punt it out of bounds!!!!!!!! I didn't know that Nienas coached back in the 90s

It was well done, and pretty well balanced. There are several angles that could be taken to make things look bad; they weren't. Good job.

I definitely appreciated that the bug eaters got called out for their complete lack of class. **** them. And **** Lou Holtz.

It also reminds me, anybody remember the t-shirt with Stoudt's predecessor castrating a little Irish guy? I would probably pay a lot of money for one of those...

I enjoyed that, damn we had some speed to burn in those days. We should've handled ND both games. I do remember those 2 games but I was young.

Honestly done. Didn't try to hide any of the warts but also didn't try to make things bigger than they were.

Mac is Mac. Love him or hate him you get who he is, he doesn't put on any false fronts.

I thought without saying it the film conveyed the love for him that every Buff from that era that I have heard has for him. He respected them first as men then as players. I believe that this is why his speeches to the team worked. The players knew that we spoke to them he was speaking to them as humans, not just as a means to an end and they cared because of that.

I didn't realize he was such a proponent for the African Americans all through his life. I remember his huge support of athletes, but I didn't know it continued. I remember being mad at him for bashing CU during the Embree firing. I now realize it is real and intertwined into his being.

Such a good recap of those times. I remember it like it was yesterday and living thru it as a student was amazing. These guys did a very fair job and it was excellent.

Very well done. I was fighting tears throughout. Mac is a different guy, but you can't deny his charisma and leadership.
