5 out of the top 10 (and the first 2) are SEC schools. Yikes. Those ****ers need to start playing more OOC games.

Man, I didn't need a poll to point this out, but from a pac12 perspective...thank god for SC and Oregon.

A&M at #30. I give that a 0% chance of happening. Their schedule is brutal and the last time I checked games end at 60 min not 30.

Other than LSU being EXTREMELY overrated, I'd say the top ten looks pretty good. Bama is probably a bit high too.

FI ****ing U is in the others receiving votes? FI ****ing U! Is Schennelberger (spell?) still their coach?

God damn we have fallen far.

I think West Virigina is ranked too high. Big 12 will show them what a real conference is like this year and the same goes for TCU.

Too much love for the SEC. South Carolina and Arkansas will not finish in the top 10, maybe not top 20. TCU would be a good darkhorse pick.

Who in god´s name picked an ACC team #1?

Also interesting to see that LSU is #1 overall despite getting fewer #1 votes than both Alabama and Southern Cal.

What is the over/under on the amount of time before we are ranked in the preseason poll? I've got August 2015. Pathetic.

FSU is getting quite a bit of hype but they have a 3-game stretch where they play Clemson, at USF and NCSU. Not to mention games at VT and Florida at home.

Makes sense - LSU only won 13 games last year with below average or poor quarterback play. Bama's only loss was to LSU, plus they both play in a very weak, limp divison of a 2nd rate conference. Notre Dame should be #1.

Very odd to see that "NR" next to USC in last season's ranking. Would imagine they'll be fine now that they have more incentive to try. Individual bonuses for playing in bowls and such.

Arkansas is going to disappoint this year, and they can use the excuse of the coaching turmoil but that was a poor recruiting class showing after finishing last year only losing to the two teams that played in the BCS championship game.

USC might have ended up in the national championship game if it had been eligible for post-season. They weren't ranked in the coach's poll last year because they weren't bowl eligible. It was weird. I think it altered the BCS games, too, because it moved a bunch of teams up a spot in the ranks.

What? We didn't get any votes?

Maybe we'll actually get a few votes at some point in time this year...but I'm not holding my breath.

If we take care of business and start 3-0, adding an upset road win before Halloween should get us a vote.

Overrated: South Carolina, Arkansas, West Virginia, Nebraska

Haven't kept up with K-State. Does Snyder have them rolling or did they catch lightning in a bottle, at least to an extent, last year?

ACC *could* be the best it's been in years this season. Not that that means it will be a "strong" conference, but aside from the 3 of FSU, Clemson and VT, there could be some sneaky good teams in UVA (keep in mind Phillip Sims is eligible to play this year, currently fighting to start), GT, NCSU and the two cheaters.

Darth Snyder had KSU as, objectively speaking, one of the most interesting football teams to watch last season. they had good schemes that matched their talent....played physical on both sides...didn't beat themselves and got the most out of what they had. we had a few threads about them, i started at least one...just good football. i don't like those guys but i came away pretty impressed with the old guy here in round 2. they'll win games. won't beat the top teams in the conference maybe, but you better bring it. return a CO kid at QB who runs the ball in their zone-read and throws it OK. good enough to keep your LB's honest. in short, that was a well-coached team last year that didn't have all the talent in the world.

UW plays 3 Top 5 teams in their first 6 games, 2 of which are on the road, and throw in Stanford to boot:bang:

They won't be at #26 for long I'm afraid...

No one did more with less last year, that's for sure. I was looking at their schedule, and they should go 3-0 OOC (only decent opponent is Miami, who is predicted to finish 5th in ACC Coastal Division). They do have some tricky road trips to Oklahoma, West Virginia and TCU, though. If Darth Snyder leads them to 9 or 10 wins again it will be downright remarkable.

The force is strong with that one
