Football/Baketball double-header?

Football/Basketball double-header?

Since the last few games of the football season overlap with the start of the basektball season,
we should try to have one of these every year. Schedule a big time opponent and have the game
begin after the football game. That would be fun.

That would call for getting drunk a 2nd time that day. I may be getting too old for that.

You don't understand. You get drunk once, and stay that way. Therefore you don't have to go through the exhausting process of getting drunk twice. That is why beer during the games would be so important.

I love the idea, but I think it should be basketball first. 1:00 game at the Keg, and a 5:00 football game.

Blackout.

Parking would be a bitch, but you're right it would be fun. I can imagine how rowdy the crowd would be if the majority attended tailgates before both games. :drink:

Back when I used to have some actual discretionary income, I had season tickets to both the Avalanche and the Buffs. A couple of times my wife and I would go straight to the Pepsi Center after a Buffs game and watch the Av's. It was fun and made for a long night, especially if both teams happen to lose

Awsome IDEA!!! We will need at least two hours between games. That should be enough time to get the grill going again and the beers flowing.

 I was pretty wiped out after the game yesterday. With pre and post game at the horse, and also with how hot it was at the Keg.

Coming off that surgery, I'm not close to 100%. Throw in a cold I caught from my son. I had to leave my seat at halftime and watch the rest from near the doors. I thought I was going to pass out.

Totally worth it though.

How about a Saturday Football game, then a Sunday morning (11am, or 1pm) basketball game. Same school, schedule home/home series. Should make for some pretty cool road trips. Travel and be able to see both CU play football and basketball

edit: that probably wont work as the end of the season for football is in-conference, and the begining of the season for Basketball is Out of Confrence. Oh well, it would be fun.

Regardless of schedueling issues, I font understand how this would be better then playing back to back games. It would defeat the purpose of playing a "double-header."

People would be completly burned out, parking issues, that is a lot of sports to watch in a single day. I can do it, but there is absolutly no way I could get my wife to come.

This would mostly be a big thing for CU road games where you would be able to watch them play basketball as well as go to a football game. Simular to how the new PAC 12 basketball scheduling is.
