i'm at a buddy's in Fam Housing along the creek path....and the wind is here.

maybe not 60 mph but gusting pretty good.
 
Beautiful day though. Not as windy in west Arvada as I'd expected though.

Widespread west winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 50 mph will continue through late morning over the northern and central mountains and foothills. Wind prone areas will see very strong winds with gusts up to 90 mph possible...especially in the foothills. Snow has begun over the higher mountains and is expected to increase in intensity through the morning. Roads over passes will begin to become snow packed with blowing snow. People traveling should be prepared for sudden strong cross winds and reduced visibility in blowing snow.



"especially in the foothills" 90 mph would be lousy for the recruits, but great for the score
