Former 5 Star RB To Transfer To csu ??

Looks like he tried to go to Central Florida but they "Didn't have room for him."

If he were anything close to what he was coming into Bama' a program like Central Florida would find a way to have room for him. Add the legal issues and I wouldn't be overly concerned about him being CSU's next Heisman trophy winner.
 
Sounds like he's got some health and off-the field issues, but CSU needs some help at RB
 
It's easy to bash the Ewes, but it sounds like McElwain's connections to his old school have paid off. Hart is probably a guy they would have no shot at if it weren't for that history. He'll probably be very good for them, probably as good as Bibbs or better.
 
Gambling is what rich people do for fun. It's also something that poor people do to try and become rich. This kid along with that high rated OL that they took last year are gambles but if they pay off it could make CSU very good. They could also take up space of a 2 or 3 star that would actually contribute. Dangerous game but what do they really have to lose?

dply nailed it. Gamble that makes sense for CSU. They've got to take these types of risks or they become a poor man's Wyoming.

Nobody is better than Bibbs. Period.
 
Allegedly the young man took a crack at counterfeiting money. Maybe Captain Jack could set up a printing press in his dorm and start making headway towards that on-campus stadium.

CSU recruits players that are CSU level players, a few of them actually develop into pretty good quality players but most play at their level.

In order to take a step above they have to take some chances. Transfers who have left other schools for various reasons, admission risks, character risks, etc.

If they can set up a pipeline collecting washouts from Bama they will get some talent they would never get otherwise.

Like most this kid probably won't live up to the hype or their hopes but he is worth taking a chance on for them.

Pretty much an exact repeat of what dply wrote, but with much less eloquence.
 
Like UCF, it sounds like our scholarship situation is sorting itself out and we may not have room either. Should know in a few days if one of the recruits from the 2014 class fails to qualify. If not, that scholarship will likely go to Hart. Would be a nice addition to the backfield if it works out. However, coming off two knee surgeries its hard to tell where he is at as a player.

He was a phenom in high school. Saw him on several occasions. The knees must be bad if Saban can't use him.

Hope he stays out of trouble and gets his degree. Sounds like the NFL is probably not in his future any more, but if those knees can carry him to an education he's got the whole world in front of him.

He has his degree from Alabama, which he earned in 3 1/2 years. I believe he was a December enrollee, then redshirted his freshman year. He would be eligible immediately and have 2 to play 2. CSU has signed several players from Dr. Phillips high school in Orlando recently, where he went.

He actually seems to be a decent kid despite the recent problems. It's hard to overcome an upbringing in Pine Hills (aka Crime Hills), so the fact that he got the diploma is a solid accomplishment.

That's awesome. Thanks for the details. He could leave CSU with a Master's. And who knows, maybe the knee just needs time and he could get himself some NFL $$$$$s.
