Former Buffs to compete in "The Basketball Tournament"

RK

UBL
The Basketball Tournament is a 5-on-5, single elimination, winner take all tournament, with a $1,000,000 purse.

The tournament began last year with a team of Notre Dame Alumni taking the cake.

Anybody can play, but to be eligible a team has to get 100 fan votes.

You can vote for the Buffs to be eligible here (http://www.thetournament.com/teams/colorado-buffs-alumni).

While they only need 100 to be eligible, the more votes they get, they higher seed they will receive.

The current roster includes: Marcus Hall, Austin Dufault, Sabatino Chen, Jeremy Adams, Marcus King-Stockton, Marcus Relphorde, and Beau Gamble, but there is a chance some bigger names join the roster soon.

The tournament takes place from July 10th to August 2nd.

Click here for more infer about the tournament itself.

Take the 30 seconds to register and vote for them. It would be really cool to see players from different eras compete together. Maybe Mr. Big Shot would coach?

who else made it into the $1,000 pay out if they win? GO BUFFS!!!!!!

They are putting together a really stout team. Lots of size and a bunch of International pro experience. Just looking through some of the other teams, the Buffs have to be considered one of the favorites.

I wonder if Mr Higgins or Mr Roby have any interest...wouldn't be a bad thing to have the top scorers in the program's history added to the squad.

Or Ski. The West Regional is in LA and that's where he's from. I guess there is some chance he'll make a Summer League roster in which case the team wouldn't let him play.

Check out the teams for The Tournament. I'm really impressed, and think this would be fun to see. The Big Apple and Grantland team are scary. It's also cool that Colorado seems to be one of the few teams (perhaps only) team I could find with all players from the same school. That's really cool to see, and also fun to see that some of our former players are willing to play with other CU guys that they didnt even know.

Seriously though, I think some of you bball fans would smile seeing some of the guys playing - Juan Dixon, Matt Bouldin, Nate Robinson, Hakim Warrick, Terrence Williams, Demarr Johnson, Brian Scalabrine, and a bunch others.

I guess I'm happy for that, but wouldn't it be good to get a couple games under their belts to figure out some chemistry?

On the contrary, being guaranteed to be one step closer to a million bucks doesn't suck either.
