Foxsports has Burks going #10 to Milwaukee

10. Milwaukee BucksAlec Burks, PG/SG, Colorado: The Bucks are set at the PG position with Brandon Jennings, but could use a replacement for Michael Redd at shooting guard. Burks is all over the place on team's boards. Some have him rated in the top 10, while others have him in the 20s. He was one of the top performers in college basketball all season and is our top-rated SG prospect. His versatility and ability to fill in at the point adds to his intrigue.

I'm hoping he might go #8 to Detroit. They badly need some kind of a dynamic scorer and he would be perfect for them as long as he can adjust to NBA 3s.

I couldn't care less about whether he goes to a team I cheer for or against. It's all about him getting into a good situation with other young talent, a well-run organization, and good veteran leaders. My only rooting interest here is for Alec to have a great NBA career.

as long as he goes in the 8-12 range i'm happy. if he slides into the deep teens...the "what might have been?" thoughts might make a bittersweet comeback for me.

I think if Burks had to miss a workout with any team, he's lucky it was the Bobcats. Pretty sure Cory's dad (the GM) knows all about Alec's game and missing this workout won't hurt him at all.

Burks' stock seems to be slipping. Apparently the SG out of Providence did much better than Alec 1 v 1

Everyone on the respectable sites has Burks going around 10-15.

Idk. I had a dream a couple nights ago that Burks got drafted in the 20's... no joke. It's a sign:huh:

I hope Burks doesn't slide lower than 12-15. Any lower than that and he would have been better off coming back next year.

Not really. I love Burks, but I don't see him being a top 20 pick next year with all the guys that are returning for another season.

Chad Ford is reporting that Burks has officially been invited to the Green Room for the Draft, so the NBA feels he'll be a lottery pick.

great news for AB and good news for CU hoops. every time "University of Colorado" is mentioned or they show a highlight is money on the recruiting trail for Tad.

Chad Ford again:

Interesting tidbit. I have had Kings looking at Kemba, Kawhi & Jimmer. But sounds like Alec Burks seriously in the mix too at 7.

I hope he doesn't get stuck in Suckramento. But that could also be a franchise that moves and he'd end up in a good spot in either Seattle or Vegas.

Agreed. Not because I'm anti-Sacramento (I love their fans and they're getting screwed by ****** owners), but because it's a bad situation for him. They don't need a SG, and it's a team full of headcases (Evans, Cousins, etc.) with a coach that doesn't have a lot of power.

On a purely selfish level, I'm hoping for Milwaukee. The "Fear The Deer" campaign two years ago was must see TV for any die-hard League Pass fans and if Burks goes there that might be enough to convince me to re-up my League Pass this year (for the first time in seven years, I'm probably going to not subscribe this year -- if there is a season). Bogut is one of my favorite players in the league. Plus, as big of a prick as Skiles is, he'll really make Burks a better player until the inevitable mutiny happens that causes him to lose his job.
