Frank Umu Dismissed from the Program

BOULDER (Sept. 26) – Coach Mike MacIntyre announced Tuesday morning that sophomore DE Frank Umu has been dismissed from the football program.

Umu, 6-4, 295, is from Littleton, Colo., and played his prep ball at Heritage High School. He appeared in 11 games including the Alamo Bowl as a redshirt freshman in 2016, playing a total of 18 snaps on defense while being in on the PAT/field goal team for 41 tries on the season. He recorded one solo tackle from scrimmage (against Idaho State). In the spring, he was named the most improved defensive lineman along with DT Lyle Tuiloma.

Due to FERPA and privacy concerns, MacIntyre cannot comment on the reason for his dismissal.
 
It would be far too big of a coincidence for Umu to be dismissed due to academic issues, when he's been suspended all along with the altercation with the transfer OL.
 
He's pretty screwed as he loses this his 3rd year and I believe would need to sit a transfer year, so he'd have 1 year left. What a waste!

Seems the aura around the team is not good......lots of unexplained suspensions.....mediocre game planning.....mistakes on the field......players reading their press clippings and believing they are better than they actually are....Am preparing for the worst Saturday....could be another blowout. Hope I am wrong. Was planning on making the trek to the Rose Bowl from SD.....seeking alternative activities.

Hey, at least you stuck it out. I mean not many people are tough enough to stomach 4 losses over two years.

Is this a novelty account? He really owns that "whiny bitch" title under his name. It's to the point that it's comical and I refuse to believe any of his posts are real responses.

Season ticket holder for 10 years....yeah.....was there for the dozens of losses.....don't remember a time during that period where the WR's declared they were the best in the nation....that our QB felt like he was/is the best player on the field.....that our Offensive line is the best in at least a decade........ We are all entitled to our opinions as fans....you choose to think "all is well"....good for you!!!! Could be a 5 win season.....with no quality wins. Opinions....opinions....opinions.....none worth more than any other....now go enjoy the day!!!!

Oh...I'm real....it was those tough guy administrators that provided that label....too bad they wont expose themselves!!!! Matters not...names and virtual tough guys are hilarious!!!! I think you should simply bypass my posts if they bother you so much...BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!
