Can't find a separate cubuffs preview on this weekend's matches, but they are mentioned in an article mainly discussing freshman Marty Puketapu (http://www.cubuffs.com/news/2017/8/...the-us-ready-to-build-on-three-goal-game.aspx). Re Northridge, it says "CSUN is currently 2-0-2 this season and conceded just nine goals all of last season, making Puketapu and her scoring ability a key in that match. This season that Matadors have surrendered three goals in four matches. They have also scored six times, led by junior Marissa Favela with three."

So, dual Buff home action only about a half hour away, with both soccer and volleyball scheduled to start at 1:00.

1st, Best wishes to the soccer team!

Statistically, looks like it's been mostly Buffs in regulation, as they have 20-4 and 5-1 leads in shots and shots on goals, respectively.

A big part of the reason(s) why the Buffs aren't scoring is that many of their opponents are choosing to "bunker" which is soccer parlance for getting almost all your players behind the ball and making it very difficult for the opposing side to have any room to maneuver inside the box. This was the case again today as it was v CSU, CC and a big with TCU as well. CU needs to figure out a way to score regardless, but they played hard and were the aggressor. The shots they had on goal were almost all right at CSUN's keeper (Jovani McCaskill) who was the best player on the team and the best keeper CU has faces this season thus far.

On the plus side, CU hasn't conceded a goal this season and that includes several overtime matches. If that continues they'll be in good shape (y).

BYU is town on Monday afternoon.
