LACROSSE (0-2) looks to take advantage of some "home cooking" to get win #1 of the year with what should be a fun challenging game against the #10 Denver Pioneers (2-0) this Saturday at 1:00 PM MT at Kittredge Field.
(DU played the same teams as the Buffs last week, but unlike CU they were able to pick up a couple wins, coming back from a 1-4 halftime deficit to defeat Louisville 5-4, and then beating Vanderbilt 11-6.)
The game is scheduled to be shown on a free live CU-provided stream. (More info and links near the bottom of this post.)
Go Buffs!!!

BOULDER – The Colorado women's lacrosse team will take to the field in Boulder for the first time this season against No. 10 Denver.
Colorado (0-2) struggled on the road last weekend, losing 11-10 in overtime to Vanderbilt and 12-5 to Louisville. The primary highlight of the road trip was Charlie Rudy recording a hat trick in each game.
The last time Colorado and the Denver Pioneers (2-0) met was at the end of the 2022 season in their last game before postseason began. The Buffs upset DU 12-10 as Rudy's five goals helped to pave the path to victory. Like now, Denver was ranked No. 10 by the IWLCA at the time, and the victory marked the third time in Colorado's history that they'd toppled a top-10 program. The Buffs will be on the hunt to record a fourth time this weekend.
Denver also traveled to play Vanderbilt and Louisville during their opening weekend. The team was down 4-0 in their first game against Louisville before their defense managed to halt the Cardinals' offense, holding them scoreless for the rest of the game. DU's offense also found their rhythm as they scored five unanswered goals.
Denver defeated Vanderbilt by a larger margin, winning 11-6. Vanderbilt was first on the board, but DU notched seven goals before the Commodores responded with another goal of their own. Five players for the Pioneers scored two goals apiece.
The Buffs will look to earn their first win of the season at Kittredge Field Saturday at 1 p.m. MT. The game will be shown on Colorado's Live Stream.
