So, this afternoon is the Senior Day game for Buffs' Forward Jen Reese and guards Lexy Kresl and Jasmine Sborov, as they play their last home games as Buffs. Thanks so much to them for all their hard work, and the entertainment they've provided Buff fans over their time here. Best of luck to them today and in their future lives!

BIG Colorado run in the last 5-6 minutes and they take a 38-36 lead into the half!

H. Smith leading the Buffs offensively with 9 points.

Buffs get the win 84-69. Way to end the seniors' home careers with success and style!

Nice to hear for Senior Day- the announcers just said that, in spite of the weather, it was the 2nd biggest crowd of the year (over 3,600 people).

All three seniors in double-digits with a fantastic game from Jasmine Sborov who hit both her treys to finish with 13 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and a steal. Lexy also hit some key treys back-to-back early in the second half to open the game up for the Buffs. Jen got a lot of her points late to help put it away.

One key for the Buffs in the win today was committing only 10 turnovers as well as rebounding well.

CU has another winnable game on the road at at Arizona on Friday evening.

Low turnovers always help.

Very happy to watch them win this game.

Yes, the Arizona game is winnable. Not so likely when they play Arizona State.

Watched the senior speeches after the game. Glad they have gotten shorter. Jen Reese was pretty funny.

A big shout out to the fans who showed up for the game. I was able to see my friends in the seats.

Thank you for the link. I will watch them.

Kyle Ringo wrote a rather scathing article on the state of CU basketball, both men's and women's. As far as Lappe, he criticized her recruiting and he is correct. She had success with the players she inherited. They were stars. She has not recruited a star and CU is in need of a star.

I haven't read the article, but I would say that recruiting has been part of the issue for WBB the last two seasons. I would add that in addition to not having a "star" they aren't athletic enough to defend effectively on the perimeter. That has caused a lot of problems this season.

Next season they could have two stars, Arielle Roberson and Jamee Swan. And both are very athletic. But they will be very young in the back court.

Ironically, on the recruiting front LL will have her best class next fall with two potential starters in Kennedy Leonard and Alexis Robinson.

I was under the impression that the current senior class was supposed to be a good recruiting class.

At the present time, this team doesn't have a go to player night after night. Even Swan can't be counted on every night this season to do her part and it takes more than one player--unless it's a Brittany Spears type of player, which Kyle Ringo mentions.
