Games thread - #22 Women's Bball scheduled to visit OSU (Mon., 1/17/21, 3:00 PM MT), ASU (Fri., 5:00 PM) and #7 Arizona (Sunday, Noon MT)

Total blowout in the 2nd half. We don't have enough players who score buckets. Can't win if you only score in the 50's.

4 straight losses.

Watched the second half. Arizona's talent on offense significantly better than CU's. It appears to be a product of how each program recruits.

CU now has a couple more road games to deal with. They're going to have to figure out to get some wins soon if they want to keep the dream of an NCAA touney bid alive.

Team has scored 71 points twice since the conference season started. That isn't going to cut it.

I also don't know why Mya isn't getting buckets this season. The team took a lot of quick outside shots today. They didn't work the offense before shooting. They also didn't notice Frida was wide open several times so never got the ball to her.

Mya and Jaylyn are shooting 25% in the Pac12 and even worse in the last 3 games. Mya is playing with no intensity and if her shots not falling her effort totally disappears. Jaylyn is playing hero ball, she’s 5/25 in the last 3, has 9 TOs vs 5 assists and her player put 30 points on her at Arizona. Time for Miller and Wetta to step in as starters

Since we last played, I've watched two Iowa games. While they have Caitlan Clark, one of the very best players in the country, they have several other players who also average in double digits. They really don't care about defense. They run and shoot. And they are over 85% from the free throw line. They outscore their opponents. They don't care if the opponent scores in the 80's because they are going to score in the 90's.

Clark had a somewhat difficult transition from high school to college because in high school she was the scorer on her team. Coach Bluder said this season she understands she doesn't have to score. She is so good seeing the entire court and dishing the ball. She had 17 assists the last game I watched.

This type of basketball is fun to watch.
