Men's basketball (10-16 overall; 1-14 in the Big 12) hosts a couple old rivals over the next few days in its penultimate set of games for this regular season. 1st off they face off this Saturday afternoon with the Baylor (BU) Bears (16-10, 8-7). Then, it's the #23 Kansas (KU) Jayhawks (17-9, 8-7) in town for a late night Monday tilt.

In the latest NET rankings (through games played 2/20/25; available at https://www.ncaa.com/rankings/basketball-men/d1/ncaa-mens-basketball-net-rankings), CU is at #99, BU #29 and KU #22.

Saturday's game is scheduled to be available on an ESPN+ stream, while Monday's game is slotted for ESPN (the Uno). (Further info and links for media options available near the bottom of this post.)

Decided not to go today. I realized that I'm just not that interested even though it was the last home game my schedule was going to allow me to go to. Season tickets, so it says a lot that I still decided that there was better entertainment value for how to spend my time today.

Anyway, fvck Baylor! Would be great to beat them.

And again I’ll say it: we are the physically weakest team in the conference.

and Tad just can't get out of his own ****ing way.

team has the lead the entire half - won't call a timeout when he has a player on the ground with the ball and zero options, free 3 for Baylor.

then has to run his ****ing mouth about ABSOLUTELY ****ING NOTHING and gets a tech, resulting in giving all the momentum to Baylor.

20 games this year he could have gotten a tech to fire up his team, nope.

today, over NOTHING, hey let's ruin this ****ing game.

**** tad, I'm over him.

We lost the lead because in the last 4 minutes we committed 3 turnovers and went from a rebounding edge to being down several on the glass.

This team can't physically hold up when other teams dial up the intensity in the high leverage minutes. Been the story all year.

Momentum is a bitch, especially when you hand it to the other team on a silver ****ing platter.

Something @Da Lama has been harping on for a while - Nikita and I were just scanning the roster and neither of us were confident in any CU player being able to bench press 250 lbs. Exact opposite for the Baylor guys.

There's only one player who weights 250, and probably only 2-3 over 210.

But at least they're weak for their size

I will give any player on this roster $1000 if they can bench 250 unassisted.

Lampkin might jump better than Malone.
I don't know how much of that is his back problems. He was winning a lot of opening tips the first half of the season. But, yeah, he's got ups like Jokic right now.

I fully expect all our freshman to come in in June around 165 and hit the court in November at around 168.
