If you guys will remember, we were doing ok against USC in that first quarter. That is with a starting defensive backfield of Washington and Terror (sometimes Sandersfeld playing saftey with terror switching outside to CB). Then Washington went down, and our converted LB to safety true frosh Tu'u malo came on. After that, our coverages went to simple man with 1 or 2 safeties deep and DD goodson started playing a lot and sandersfeld kept getting matched up one on one. 12 minutes later, it was a 21 point lead for USC.
If both Washington and Polk are out again... It will be more of the same. Ugh. If its not one thing on D, its another. And its not like Washington had a full grasp of the D to begin with.
