I think I heard somewhere a while ago that they haven't left the state of Florida for an out of conference game in something like 20 years.
This is an overblown stat because they play FSU in Tallahassee and play UGA at Jacksonville, where the tix are equally divided. How about taking a closer look at someone like ND? They only play 4 true road games this year, and also in future years if I'm not mistaken.
I get that they are playing FSU and Miami most of the time...but come on, 20+ years without an OOC road game that is ridiculous and I hope is something they no longer get away with under the new playoff format.
They major OOC road game in most years is either FSU or Miami, who happens to be in the same state. So what if Tallahassee is in the same state, it's still a very tough road game. Too much is being made of the "state border" part of the schedule.
I get what you're saying but I would just like to see them have to travel a couple thousand miles for a game once in a while. Travel makes the road games much more difficult. Since I don't watch Florida, are the games against the instate teams filled with Gator fans? Because that would make a huge difference too.
I find this hard to believe because their attendance isn't great. The swamp is always full. The florida state game is always full of Noles. Miami has one of the most dedicated followings in the nation. The []_[] is always full of canes.

Their fans are about as dedicated to their Canes, as us Allbuffers are dedicated to making jokes about your mom.
teets summed my response up perfectly.Their fans are about as dedicated to their Canes, as us Allbuffers are dedicated to making jokes about your mom.
Miami does not have one of the most dedicated fanbases in the country. One of the dumbest statements I have seen on this board in a while.

Yeah I was just curious as to whether a road game to Miami or Florida State was really a road game or just a home game in a different location

what college football team doesn't have fans like that? ****, even csu has fans that LOVE csu.Their fanbase isn't that large anymore but people who like Miami, LOVE Miami. They stick to their team.

Miami can be a tough place to play for a big game like FSU or Florida. But for just about anyone else it seems like you can count the number of people in the stands.

Florida state sells out all the time. Especially against the gators.
