PALM DESERT, Calif. — The University of Colorado men's golf team couldn't make up any ground and finished in 10th place here Sunday as the 16th annual Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate came to a close. No. 19 Auburn ran away with the event, shooting 9-under par as a team Sunday to finish up with a 22-under 842 score. No. 50 Charlotte entered the day three back, but had a 6-over 294, the 15-stroke swing eliminating it from contention though still finished second (860). Denver, ranked No. 109, was the surprise team of the tournament, finishing third at 861, the only other school under par. Colorado State was fourth with an 864 (even), while Oregon and TCU tied for fifth with 2-over 866 scores.
