PALM DESERT, Calif. — The University of Colorado men's golf team would have been in good shape if the 11th and 15th holes didn't exist, but they did and the end result was the Buffaloes landing in 14th place after the first round here Friday of the annual Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate. No. 24 Kansas owns the team lead through 18 holes with a 14-under par team score of 274, with No. 39 Georgia Tech two back at 12-under 276. Charlotte (277), Oregon (278) and UCLA (285) round out the top five.
