LAHAINA, Maui — The University of Colorado men's golf team opened in ninth place here Friday after one round of the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational, the Buffaloes final event of the fall season. Clemson turned in the top score in the first round, a 17-under 267, as all five of the Tigers' designated scorers carded subpar rounds in the 60s. Eleventh-ranked Oklahoma is just one back at 268, with East Tennessee State right there, two off the pace at 269. North Florida is fourth (273), with Kansas and Mississippi rounding out the top five (275).
